Fastforward to Summer
Leaving Minneapolis on a rainy Saturday morning and hours later stepping off the plane into balmy, dry Central Mexico gave me pause and appreciation for time travel in the modern age. Today, more than ever, within seconds, minutes or hours we span cultures, conceptions of time and distinct ways of life.
From a cold, overcast morning with coffee to a hot, sunny afternoon with cerveza, I stepped forward two seasons, in a matter of just hours. On Monday morning, I fly to Mexico City for meetings and on to Chiapas and Oaxaca to begin work with UNICEF...turning the lens to education and serving children with disabilities in Mexico.
