| The pursuit of compelling images and desire to connect with humanity has led Andy Richter to over 40 countries with his camera in hand. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he is a freelance photographer shooting for editorial, non-profit and advertising clients. When not being commissioned to create, Andy is immersed in personal photographic projects, regular yoga practice, and life in the company of others. Essential elements of his photographic approach are trust and respect for his subjects, intuition, working with light, and truly being there. Andy was recently invited to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the opening of a solo exhibition of his work with the Oro Win tribe, which was photographed in the Brazilian Amazon. His long-term project on Childhood Obesity with Time Magazine can be seen with audio on Time.com. He is currently working on a new body of work both at home and abroad about yoga. He is represented by Aurora Photos.
